Kubikenborg Aluminium AB is Sweden's only producer of primary aluminum and one of the largest industrial companies in Sundsvall. The factory was built in 1942 and we have the capacity to produce 130,000 tons of aluminum per year. The final product, which consists of ingots, is delivered to extrusion and rolling mills across Europe. Kubal currently employs 460 people.

Job Description

We are looking for an IT Software Engineer to develop and maintain our digital solutions that support core production processes and auxiliary functions. This role requires a technical background combined with problem-solving skills and good collaboration abilities as you will work with other departments in the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain custom software solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define functional and non-functional requirements.
• Contribute to software architecture, design, and API/interface definition.
• Document software requirements, architecture, and design specifications.
• Ensure operational reliability of mission-critical systems, including participation in emergency response activities.
• Improve system performance, scalability, and security.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of proven experience designing and developing scalable, maintainable, and secure software solutions.
• Strong C#/.NET programming skills.
• Experience with database management and optimization.
• Solid understanding of software development life cycle and best practices.
• Good communication skills in English (both written and spoken).
• Basic understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).

Merits (Preferred Skills & Experience):

• Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Hands-on expertise in Test-Driven Development (TDD) and unit testing frameworks.
• Knowledge of web-based UI frameworks.
• Experience with high-availability (HA) MySQL clustering.
• Familiarity with mobile application development.
• Working experience with Grafana or similar data visualization tools.
• Experience with C++.
• Familiarity with Active Directory for authentication and authorization. (+ any other on-premise IAM solutions)
• Familiarity with MsOffice APIs for exporting data and document handling.

The scope of the service refers to full-time and daytime.
