Manhem School is located in central Kalix. We have approximately 400 students in grades 7-9. Our goal is for the school to be known for providing the very best conditions for every student to succeed in their studies and to feel safe, comfortable, and part of the school community. Your responsibilities
Teaching Home Economics in close collaboration with colleagues. You will be part of a subject team and together you will plan and develop the teaching. You will be part of one of the school's three working teams and will also be a mentor for a class of about 17 students.


We are looking for
We are looking for you who are a certified teacher in Home Economics for grades 7-9. Extra merit is if you also have competence and experience in teaching another subject within primary school. If you have relevant education and good subject knowledge, you are welcome to submit your application even if you are not yet a certified teacher. Being a teacher and a professional educator at Manhem School means that you have high expectations and a belief that all students can achieve success based on their conditions. We place great emphasis on pedagogical leadership in the classroom. We are looking for someone who has the ability to motivate and create engagement while being a clear leader. You are secure in yourself and through your way of leading and organizing, you create a safe and educational classroom situation. We are convinced that order, clarity, and structure combined with sensitivity and care bring out the best in our students. A good judgment and high integrity are important as we want you to be a role model for the students.

We are looking for someone who is communicative and has the ability to create trusting relationships with both colleagues and students, guardians, and other actors around the student. Your pedagogical strength lies in your ability to adapt teaching based on results, evaluations, and the individual student's needs. To achieve this, you need to have a good understanding of how different people absorb information and knowledge, as well as the ability to adapt your teaching style at both group and individual levels. We are looking for someone who is aware of their own impact on students' learning. By capitalizing on students' interests, you make the teaching interesting, and in your interactions with students, you develop yourself and your role as a teacher. Based on students' results, research, and proven experience, you follow up on the quality of teaching, reflect, and evaluate in order to develop the teaching and meet each student's individual needs. Adapting teaching is a prerequisite for as many students as possible to achieve the knowledge goals. You provide forward-looking feedback to students aimed at development and optimally support each student in reaching their full potential.
