Pajala municipality is the large (in area) small municipality located in the land of the northern lights and the midnight sun – Tornedalen, in eastern Norrbotten. The assignment as a teacher is located at Gårdbyskolan in Korpilombolo village. The school is a small F-9 school with 80-90 students. The school's staff is part of a work team, and the three different stages form three smaller teams for collaboration in the assignment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The teacher's assignment is primarily governed by the Education Act, the Curriculum, and the Work Environment Act. The work in the organization is led and distributed by the principal. Examples of tasks include mentorship, collaboration with all school staff and guardians, readiness to cover for colleagues when needed, and following up on results in the systematic quality work where the analysis of the teacher's own teaching is in focus and a prerequisite for the teacher's development of teaching.

QUALIFICATIONS

For permanent employment, a teaching license with a focus on the requested subject is required, but other subject combinations may also be considered. Otherwise, the employment is limited for a certain period.
