Tunaskolan F-9, located in the Tuna area between Mjölkudden and Notviken, has one of Luleå's larger catchment areas. The school will have approximately 580 primary school students from the autumn of 2025, about 170 of whom also attend our after-school program. Inside Tunaskolan, we also run an adapted primary school with about 120 students, which means that we have opportunities to collaborate within our school. The school is self-sufficient in terms of facilities, which means we avoid traveling to other schools for practical-aesthetic subjects. The school has been completely renovated over the past few years, ensuring that classrooms and furnishings are of high standard.

In the area, we also have good contacts with other actors such as Notvikens IK, the Church, and the Tenants' Association. The school can also utilize the entire sports facility of Notvikens IK, which is connected to the school area by a tunnel under Mjölkuddsvägen. There is also proximity to Coop Norrbotten Arena during the winter months. Tunaskolan's central location makes it easy for students to reach events held in the city center or on the university campus, something that is also well managed by our skilled educators. Despite its central location, Tunaskolan is also close to nature and water, which in turn provides great opportunities for variation in teaching.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are in an expansive phase and need certified teachers. If you are a certified teacher, we would love to receive your application. We are currently looking for a teacher qualified in subjects such as Swedish/Social Studies, Math, and English. The position will be shaped in consultation with you and built based on your competencies. As a teacher at Tunaskolan, you will teach students in grades 4-6. You will be part of a work team of about 15 people. The position includes mentorship.

QUALIFICATIONS

Now you have the chance to come to a newly renovated school with your teaching certification and make a difference with your knowledge and experience. However, we prefer that you have broad qualifications in many subjects. In addition, you are an interested, engaged, and competent teacher who wants to help develop Tunaskolan into its next phase. We certainly see that you have a deep interest in working with students and their learning. Furthermore, we expect you to be good at collaborating with others and sharing the knowledge and experiences you possess. We want you to be well-versed in the governing documents that regulate the school and to act according to these in your interactions with students, guardians, and staff.
