Welcome to the Labor Market and Education Administration in Boden Municipality!

The Labor Market and Education Administration has a collective responsibility for integration, labor market, education, and employment issues concerning our municipality's residents. The administration is also responsible for the Cultural School and food supply and performs tasks for the medical and psychological part of student health in municipal preschool classes, primary schools, adapted primary schools, secondary schools, and adapted secondary schools.

In the Cultural School, in addition to music teachers, there are also dance and drama educators. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The position involves:

• Brass teaching for children and youth individually and in groups
• Leading instruction at various levels and in different genres.
• Actively participating in recruitment to build and maintain a stable student base.
• Participation in our orchestra activities.

Together with colleagues, plan and implement teaching, performances, and public programs. You will participate in various working groups and processes to develop a relevant and inspiring cultural school for children and youth.

You are responsible for communication with your students and work to establish good contacts with them and their guardians. Our collaboration with the aesthetic program means that it may sometimes be relevant to provide instrumental instruction to individual students in the aesthetic program.

Teaching is mostly scheduled during the day, but evening and weekend work may also occur. All work with children and the collaboration with adults should be permeated by the preschool/school's values, norms, and principles.

QUALIFICATIONS

We consider it a merit if you have a music teacher's degree or other education/experience deemed equivalent. You have good pedagogical skills and a clear desire to help children and youth develop through cultural practice. You are well-versed in various genres and styles. In your role, you should be able to spark and build on the student's interest and inspire and adapt teaching to each individual's unique circumstances. You are creative, responsible, flexible, and well-organized; you work independently and also find it easy to collaborate with others. You have good knowledge and experience of working with digital tools, both pedagogical and administrative. Having a secondary instrument, such as piano, is advantageous but not a requirement. We place great importance on personal suitability. A driver's license and a personal vehicle are necessary since teaching takes place at schools in the municipality.

A criminal record extract is required.

Please attach your teaching certification or diploma. An extract from the criminal record must be presented before employment in preschool and primary school.
