Gränsskolan is now looking for teachers in mathematics and science subjects

Your Responsibilities

You will work in teams and be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching according to our governing documents. Together, we will work towards an active relationship-building approach. It is important to us that our students feel secure by having teachers work in teams where each subject teacher contributes to teaching based on their expertise. Collaboration takes place with senior mentors who are responsible for mentorship at the school; therefore, this position does not include mentorship.

We see the thread of continuity, which means meeting students and following them over time, as very important. You will work in a pleasant school where there is close collaboration among all staff categories. You contribute to further developing our shared culture - all students are everyone's students and the school's vision. A school where everyone wants to come, feels good, and learns. Our learning environments are adapted to the students' different and unique ways of learning.

Your Profile

You find it inspiring and developing to work with students. You are a creative person who enjoys working with youth and puts the student at the center. You are responsible, structured, and quality-conscious. You take initiative and want to support students in reaching their goals. You have a positive and inclusive attitude, good collaboration skills, and communicate from a solution-focused perspective in every meeting with colleagues, students, and parents.

You have good pedagogical skills and can inspire and engage students in learning based on their different needs, allowing those needs to guide you when evaluating your teaching. We see that you are a confident and experienced leader with good knowledge of leading a student group towards the curriculum goals, both the knowledge-based and value-based goals. Furthermore, you easily establish trusting relationships. You value close collaboration with colleagues, students, parents, and school management and are receptive to others' knowledge, striving to always develop your teaching and participate in collegial learning.

The Employment

We are looking for a licensed mathematics/science teacher for grades 7-9; the structure of the employment may change based on the applicant's subject qualifications.

Gränsskolan is a school in a strong development phase, and we have high expectations for staff to participate and contribute to the development work.

Due to the Education Act, an extract from the police criminal record must be presented upon employment in preschool, pre-school class, after-school care, primary school, and secondary school. Therefore, we encourage you to order an extract from the criminal record immediately after submitting your application.
