Physics Teacher Wanted at Lapplands Gymnasium

Lapplands Kommunalförbund is an association of the municipalities of Kiruna, Gällivare, Jokkmokk, and Pajala that collaborates in upper secondary education, adult education, energy and climate counseling, procurement, and personal representatives. The region has approximately 55,000 inhabitants and covers over 60,000 square kilometers. About 350 employees work within the federation.

Lapplands Gymnasium is the joint upper secondary organization for Gällivare, Jokkmokk, Kiruna, and Pajala. Our four schools together offer about 20 programs and have a total of around 2000 students, located in Sweden's largest and most distance-dependent region. Our school organization is situated in Sweden's largest region, where distances can be significant, but we always strive to be close and accessible to our students and staff. Far away but still close. Our vision is to offer unique and attractive education of the highest quality.

We are looking for a physics teacher starting from the autumn term of 2025. As a teacher, you should be clear in your pedagogical leadership and able to meet students in a responsive manner in the classroom. As a colleague and team member, you have good collaboration skills, communicate clearly, and are flexible. As a teacher with us, you will be part of a supportive team with extensive experience and broad competence. You will have support from the student health team and school management in all matters related to teaching and mentorship.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Teaching physics (about 50% of the position) and another natural science subject (the remaining 50%). Mentorship is included.

QUALIFICATIONS

Licensed physics teacher at the upper secondary level. You should also be qualified to teach other upper secondary subjects such as mathematics, natural science, or technology. We consider different subject combinations of natural science subjects. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
