Pajala Municipality is the large (in area) small municipality located in the land of the Northern Lights and the Midnight Sun – Tornedalen, in eastern Norrbotten. Day and night, all year round, we work in the service of the community on behalf of the citizens. The position is in Pajala Municipality with placement at Tärendö Central School. The school is a small F-6 school with about 25-30 students divided into b- and c-forms. The work team consists of three teachers and one teacher in the after-school program. In some years, the staff group is also supplemented with a teaching assistant.

The school is located close to nature, allowing for outdoor teaching year-round without the need for transportation.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• The teacher's assignment is primarily governed by the Education Act and the Curriculum for compulsory school.
• Preparation, implementation, and follow-up of teaching are the foundation of the work and are included in the systematic quality work.
• The principal leads and distributes the work.
• You report to the principal.
• Collaboration with colleagues locally and in the municipality.
• Collaboration with guardians.
• Collaboration with other community functions such as Social Services and Police.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Relevant teacher education and teaching certification.
• If the above requirements are not met, employment for a limited time may be considered, and then for a maximum of one school year.
