Hedskolan is a 3-parallel F-6 school with adapted primary education. We have about 500 students and 100 staff members. We are centrally located in Gällivare municipality within walking distance to the sports hall, swimming pool, etc. Hedskolan has a well-structured approach to collegial learning that encompasses all parts of the curriculum. Therefore, we can offer continuous professional development for driven process leaders, PAX and IBIS instructors, and IT educators. As a wood and metal crafts teacher with us, you will work with our students in grades 3-6.

Job Responsibilities

Your starting point as a teacher is to work within wood and metal crafts with planning, teaching, evaluation, and values-based work according to the curriculum. The work is carried out both independently and in collaboration with colleagues.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed teacher with the qualification to teach crafts. If you also have qualifications to teach other subjects, that is a plus. You need to have knowledge of handling computers and technology in your daily work. You should be responsible, clear, and driven, and have an easy time building good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. Engagement, innovation, solution focus, interest in and ability to collaborate are qualities that the school values. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Upon employment, a criminal record extract is required.

Within the framework of the national minority language law, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is an asset when applying for a position in Gällivare municipality.
