Granbacka Preschool has two mixed-age departments located in the residential area of Granbacka, near a very inspiring forest and nature. This forms an important part of the preschool's learning environment that the staff uses in their teaching together with the children. The preschool actively works to develop learning environments where children's influence, exploration, and learning are at the center. The preschool has two teams that collaborate to create a good preschool for all children. Working outdoors and project-based learning are important methods that we want to further develop. It is the children's own interests and abilities that guide our activities, which promotes the opportunity for our educators to work collaboratively with the children. Granbacka Preschool is looking for two licensed preschool teachers!

Job Responsibilities

As a preschool teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and reflecting in the team and for carrying out the systematic quality work in collaboration with other colleagues at the preschool. The children should be given new challenges and receive support and stimulation for their development and learning. You have significant influence over your work, which is based on good collaboration throughout the organization. There are great opportunities for those who want to test new methods and develop the activities together with children, guardians, and colleagues.

We consider it important that you have an easy time developing relationships with children and guardians and a willingness to develop and learn together. You need to be well acquainted with digital tools to both use them in teaching to enhance children's learning and to use them for documentation as a basis for reflection and development. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Within the framework of the national minority language law, Gällivare Municipality is the administrative municipality for Sámi, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare Municipality.

You need to provide an extract from the police criminal record for work in schools and childcare upon employment.

Working Hours/Duration
