Rosvik School is hiring a teacher for grades F-3

Rosvik School is a small F-6 school with 210 students and 30 staff members located in the heart of the picturesque village of Rosvik, situated between Piteå and Luleå. At Rosvik School, we believe in every individual's desire to learn and inherent curiosity. Our goal is for every student to flourish and reach as far as possible based on their conditions, both academically and socially. We achieve this through solid collaboration within teaching teams, with the student health staff, and with after-school care. We use Cooperative Learning as our approach and method.

Job Responsibilities

Your role includes planning and conducting teaching in all subjects for the class you will be mentoring. You will have a clear focus on early language, reading, and writing learning, and you adapt your teaching to meet each student's needs, continuously following up on their development with your strong assessment skills. Together with other educators in the team, you are responsible for creating and developing a safe and secure environment that encourages and challenges students to engage, learn, and take responsibility. You want to be part of driving pedagogical development, using current research and applying it in your work. You plan and follow up on teaching, analyze, and assess results.

Qualifications

We want you to be:

A certified teacher with a focus on grades F-3
An independent and strong leader in the classroom

We want you to have:

Knowledge and experience in early language, reading, and writing learning
Good assessment skills
The ability to see the whole picture and collaborate with both after-school care and the school's student health
The ability to take responsibility for the entire assignment and drive students' development forward, both academically and socially
