Business Description

Hedskolan is a 3-parallel F-6 school with adapted primary education. We have about 500 students and 100 employees. We are centrally located in Gällivare municipality within walking distance to the sports hall, swimming pool, etc. Hedskolan has a well-structured approach to collegial learning that covers all parts of the curriculum. Therefore, we can offer continuous professional development for driven process leaders, PAX and IBIS instructors, and IT pedagogues. As a teacher in textile crafts, you will work with our students in grades 3-6.

Job Responsibilities

Your starting point as a teacher is to work within textile crafts with planning, teaching, evaluation, and value-based work according to the curriculum. The work is carried out both independently and together with colleagues.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed teacher with qualifications to teach crafts. If you have qualifications to teach in additional subjects, that is a plus. You need to have knowledge of handling computers and technology in your daily work. You should be responsible, clear, and driven, and have an easy time creating good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. Engagement, innovative thinking, solution focus, interest in and ability to collaborate are qualities that the school values.

Upon employment, a criminal record extract is required. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Within the framework of the national minority language law, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sámi, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is an asset when applying for a position in Gällivare municipality.
