About the job
Parking Enforcement Officer – The job for you if you want to make a difference every day
Location: Borås
Employment: As-needed employment
A job that actually means something
There are jobs that are just a job – and then there are jobs that make a difference. Jobs where you feel that what you do matters, for people and for society. Being a parking enforcement officer is such a job, and this role is important.
Here at P-tjänst AB, we are looking for you who seek more than just a place to clock in and out. We are looking for you who want the freedom to make your own decisions, but who also understand the importance of taking responsibility.
Who are you?
We believe you are someone who appreciates clarity and structure, but who also enjoys variety. You might be someone who wants to see the results of your work – someone who finds it satisfying to end the day knowing you have contributed to creating order.
To thrive with us:
You like to work independently, but at the same time have a team spirit and want to work for the team. The work involves driving alone, but you are part of a larger context.
You are the type who keeps your promises and takes responsibility – not just for yourself, but also for what you do.
You have good communication skills and enjoy meeting people, even when they are stressed or having a bad day, and can handle situations with calm and respect.
You are solution-oriented and find it easy to think on your feet in situations that require it.
You should enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions, as the job requires it.
What does a day look like?
As a parking enforcement officer, you are much more than a uniform. You are a creator of security, a problem solver, and sometimes the one who de-escalates an irritated parker's day with a smile.
Your tasks will include:
- Parking supervision – ensuring rules are followed and order is maintained.
- Contact with clients/employers.
- Some general service for parkers who need your help.
You are car-borne, but this also involves some walking.
You work varying hours, including days, evenings, and nights. No day is the same as the other.
What we are looking for in you:
Must-haves:
- You have a valid B-driver's license.
- You must be able to work all hours of the day and night.
- You speak and write Swedish fluently, and have a good command of English.
- You have a high school diploma or equivalent – this is a stable foundation to stand on.
- You have your finances in order and a clean criminal record.
- You should have previous experience in work where you have met and handled people in different situations – the important thing is that you are confident in dealing with both customers and parkers.
- You should have good availability, e.g., through part-time work, part-time studies, or studies with flexibility.
- You should be resident in Borås or nearby and be able to step in with short notice.
We also place great emphasis on personal suitability – the right person for the role.
Extra plus:
- Experience as a parking enforcement officer or from the security industry.
- Technical knowledge or computer literacy.
- Knowledge of multiple languages – diversity is an asset.
Why work with us?
We are a family-owned company with a down-to-earth culture where freedom and responsibility are the foundation of everything we do. Here, your ideas are valuable, and you are part of something bigger – creating security and well-being for others.
We offer:
- Freedom under responsibility – flexible working hours and the opportunity to influence.
- Security and development – we follow the collective agreement and there are opportunities to grow within the company.
- A family-friendly workplace – we are a down-to-earth family business that believes in respect, cooperation, and structure, where everyone is equal and can make a difference.
- Wellness allowance – we care about your health and think it is important to contribute to it through physical training and recovery.
- A great team – we look at the team before the individual and that everyone contributes something.
Application deadline: 2026-08-21. Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis – so don't wait too long. We look forward to hearing from you!
The position requires that you have the right to work in Sweden. Prior to employment, we conduct a standard check of this for all candidates (e.g., passport, EEA ID card, or residence and work permit).
Please note that the recruitment process for this position is somewhat longer than usual due to the holiday season.
