Do you want to become part of a team that values curiosity, joy, and learning, and works together to create the best possible conditions for our students? Then you could be Sandbyängsskolan's new Physical Education teacher!
Who are we?
Sandbyängsskolan is a school with students from preschool class to grade 6. We have approximately 320 students and just over 40 employees in our fantastic facilities. In 2019, we moved into a completely new school, housed in a beautiful building from the early 1900s in the Sandbyhov district. We have one of Norrköping's newest sports halls, with a well-equipped outdoor gym and proximity to green areas.
We have a dedicated and stable staff group with high competence and qualifications. Our work environment is characterized by collegial learning and collaboration, where values, relationships, and development are at the center. Here, every individual is in focus, and our development group works on activities that help unite the entire school.
We have close cooperation with other schools in the area, which provides good opportunities to build professional networks. Being part of a larger educational organization in the public sector also means good opportunities for competence development, clear routines, and secure employment conditions.
Your responsibilities
As a Physical Education teacher, you work together with colleagues at the school to create a safe, fun, and inclusive environment where every student can be challenged and supported based on their unique prerequisites. You plan, implement, and follow up on teaching in Physical Education, and collaborate closely with other teachers and educators, both at school and in the leisure center.
You are engaged in your work and see it as a given to see the whole student and find solutions and adaptations to make it work for everyone. You take responsibility and help organize joint activities such as outdoor days and similar events for the whole school.
You are part of a work team with teachers in grades 4–6 and collaborate with mentors based on the students' needs. Depending on interest and engagement, there may be an opportunity to participate in the school's safety team.
Who are you?
We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with the qualification to teach Physical Education in grades 1-6. You are confident in your leadership and have the ability to engage and challenge students, as well as knowledge of how to meet the differences of all students.
You have a positive attitude and are creative and proactive. You are structured, stable, and solution-focused with a flexible working style, and you relate to others with attentiveness and humility in your collaboration.
Furthermore, you communicate clearly and adapt your way of reaching the students, and enjoy working in teams. Your engagement and endurance, along with your ability to build good relationships and meet the students' various needs, are important qualities for creating a favorable learning environment.
You have good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing and are well-versed in the school's governing documents.
