Your responsibilities

As a teacher, your starting point is to work with planning, teaching, evaluation, and values-based work based on the curriculum. The work is carried out both independently and in collaboration with colleagues.

As a teacher for grades 7-9, you collaborate with guardians, colleagues, and other stakeholders in the school to achieve higher goal fulfillment and create the best conditions for each student. You base your work on the student group you meet and are expected to create varied and challenging teaching. Using digital tools is a natural part of your teaching.

You promote collegial learning through discussion and reflection during both planned and spontaneous occasions. To benefit students' learning, as well as your own and the organization's development, you take advantage of the experiences and knowledge of different professions.

The position includes mentorship together with colleagues, where you jointly are responsible for supporting the students and maintaining contact with guardians.

Tokarpsskolan is a lower secondary school located in northern Malmslätt with approximately 400 students and 55 employees. The school is characterized by a family atmosphere where good cohesion, collaboration, and a shared drive forward permeate the operations. You who apply

We are primarily looking for you who have teacher certification with eligibility to teach Swedish and English in grades 7-9. Secondarily, we are looking for you with a completed teacher education for grades 7-9. Alternatively, you are at the end of your education to become a teacher in grades 7-9.

It is a requirement that you have experience of working in a curriculum-based school through practice or as an employee. It is meritorious if you have taught in grades 7-9 for at least one school year. It is also meritorious if you have experience of setting grades or alternatively documenting students' learning during the school year.

In your role as a teacher in grades 7-9, you have good knowledge of the school's mission and are well acquainted with the curriculum (Lgr22) and other regulatory documents. You have good communicative skills in speech and writing in the Swedish language. This is because, according to the curriculum (Lgr22), you should organize and carry out the work so that the student receives support in their language and communication development. You are responsible for ensuring that every student can use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced way.

As a teacher, you are a good role model. You have the ability to adapt your teaching to the students and let them participate in the design of the teaching. In a quality-conscious way, you create good conditions for the student's development and learning and document this. You collaborate well with colleagues, guardians, and other contacts in society that occur in your professional role.
