We are looking for you who are interested in working as a personal assistant to a wheelchair-bound young man in his 30s with cerebral palsy (CP). The role requires physical presence and practical support, but also a sensitive touch for knowing when to be helpful – and when to simply be there. Previous experience is not required, but you should be secure, empathetic, and have a good sense of integrity.

He lives in Gislaved with his family. There is a dog in the home. The shifts are mostly scheduled during daytime, on weekdays. In the role of assistant, you will make a difference in his life. Are you a secure and relaxed person who wants to work closely with another human being – without getting stuck in rigid routines and hospital environments? Then this might be right for you.

The work includes everything from care, intimate hygiene, transfers, use of various aids, training, help with activities, as well as accompanying him to day activities, etc. He is functionally blind, seeing only a small percentage, and it will also be required that you, as a personal assistant, can provide oral sighted guide assistance. The workplace is in his home, day activity center, and wherever he is otherwise located. Working hours are mostly scheduled during daytime, Monday-Friday.

This is a job for you who enjoys working independently, but always puts another person's needs at the center. You have a genuine interest and feeling for caring for people.

You must be able to speak fluent Swedish as this is a job where good communication is very important.
