Your new job

You will be part of the student health services and will join the school's cross-professional student health team, where you will contribute your psychosocial competence and knowledge. Together with the school management, you will be responsible for the promoting, preventive, and remedial student health work for our students.

The work is primarily health-promoting and preventive and is carried out at the individual, group, and school unit levels to support students' development towards educational goals. As a counselor, you provide support to students, guardians, and the school's other staff. You conduct supportive conversations, observations, social investigations, and assessments, as well as targeted interventions at the group and school unit levels. You are also part of the school's safety group and work actively with safety-enhancing measures and our presence work.

You also have contact with external actors and support functions. You contribute a psychosocial perspective to the operations, which ensures that all students are given the opportunity to achieve knowledge goals while also thriving and feeling well at school. You are a natural part of the operations and the students' daily lives.

The needs of the students and the operations drive the work, meaning you need to be flexible in changing situations, but you are offered great opportunities to shape and develop the student health work at the school within the framework of your assignment in a responsive and learning organization.

Attarpsskolan is a grades 7–9 school with approximately 450 students and 50 employees. We are located 1 mile north of Jönköping, and it is easy to get here using the municipality's public transport.

Your qualifications

We are looking for you who have a degree in social work. Experience in similar work and knowledge of the school's mission and work in social work with children and young people are meritorious.

It is important that you are communicative, take initiative, and are willing to do things that are on the periphery of the assignment. We wish for you to be a positive person who wants to be involved in developing the school counseling work in our operations.

It is important that you have good collaboration skills and find it easy to establish good relationships with students, guardians, and other staff. You are flexible, engaged, creative, responsive, and empathetic.

Personal suitability is given great weight.
