About the job

• Sick leave substitute position (65%) with the possibility of a permanent position.
• Employment: Hourly substitute (when regular assistants cannot work).
• Hours: The schedule offers long shifts 08:00 - 23:30 (Fri, Sat 08:00-24:00).
• Before your first shift, you will shadow one of my regular assistants approx. 4-5 times to get familiar with the job.

About me

I am a woman over 55 living with my partner in a small community called Norra Unnaryd, located about 40 km (25 miles) outside Jönköping. My disability means I need your arms and legs in various situations, but I manage my own assistance. I use a wheelchair due to a muscle disease and need help with personal care, cooking, household chores, etc.

A day with me can range from a quiet day at home with various tasks, both indoors and outdoors, to an active outing – perhaps shopping at Gekås in Ullared. I enjoy baking, cooking, dining out, ice hockey, and spending time with family and friends.

To ensure we get along well, I believe you are:

• A woman with personal maturity.
• Reliable, meticulous, and perceptive.
• Someone who enjoys working with people and can read and adapt to my needs.

Important to know:

• You must be a non-smoker and comfortable around pets.
• You must be fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.
• You need a driver's license and access to your own car to commute to and from work (during work hours, you will drive my wheelchair-adapted car).
• Assistive devices are available in the home.
• Good physical fitness is required as we often take long walks.

Due to the nature of the work, I am only seeking female assistants.
