Join Habo Municipality – Social Secretary for Children and Youth Services

We are currently looking for an engaged and competent 1st Social Secretary to join our working group within the authority enforcement for children and young people. Here, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where quality and collaboration are at the forefront.

About the Department

The Individual and Family Care (IFO) within the Social Services Administration is organizationally divided into four units: Children and Young People, the Adult Unit, Outpatient Care, and the Authority Unit for Care and Support. The Children and Young People unit consists of approximately eight social secretaries who work with authority enforcement, follow-up of decided measures, and foster care activities.

To improve the quality of support and reception for families where violence occurs, new reports and applications are handled within the framework of a Violence Team. This team consists of three social secretaries from the Children and Young People unit, two from the Adult Unit, and two therapists from Outpatient Care. The work is carried out in a coordinated manner within the scope of respective assignments.

Your Responsibilities

As a 1st Social Secretary, you will share responsibility with the Unit Manager for leading and distributing daily work. You will provide support and guidance, both individually and in groups, and serve as an introducer for new employees.

Your main areas of responsibility include:

  • Ensuring that work is conducted in accordance with current legislation and based on up-to-date knowledge, proven experience, and high quality.
  • Preparing cases for presentation and handling in the committee and in court.
  • Methodological supervision and development within the unit's area of operations.
  • A coordinating role with a focus on good collaboration with external and internal stakeholders.

Who Are You?

We are looking for you who have a degree in Social Work and experience with authority enforcement within the social services' children and youth sector. Previous experience in leadership is an advantage. You are a confident leader who thrives on developing operations and collaborating with colleagues and external partners.

About the Position

The position is a permanent appointment. Start date is according to agreement. We are looking for a person who can start immediately or as agreed.
