Do you want to work in a meaningful role where your skills truly make a difference? We are now looking for a personal assistant for an 18-year-old young man with autism who has his own way of communicating.

The assignment places high demands on security, sensitivity, and understanding of individual needs and communication methods.

About the position

You will work in the young man's home, just outside Huskvarna, where he lives with his family. The position involves morning shifts Monday–Friday from 05:30 until the client has arrived at school.

Duties include preparing and supporting morning routines and preparations for the school day, as well as driving the client to school. Adapting communication, timing, and maintaining a calm approach are key parts of the job. As a personal assistant, you play a vital and responsible role in creating structure, security, and predictability in the client's daily life.

The client enjoys watching YouTube clips on the computer and phone, taking walks in the forest, and collecting items.

Requirements

We are looking for you who are mature and secure, with experience in personal assistance and epilepsy. You have documented experience working with autism, preferably in more extensive need situations. You have knowledge of and practical experience with low-arousal approaches and are accustomed to working with alternative communication, such as picture support. A valid driver's license and access to a car are required. You must not have pets, as the client is allergic to cats.
