For you who like creating structure, solving problems, and helping people succeed – and want to make a difference in people's daily lives? Are you an organizer with a heart in the right place? We are now looking for engaged and structured coordinators for home care services in Vara Municipality!
Do you want a key role where no day is like another? Do you thrive with many contact points, making decisions, and ensuring the operations run smoothly – while making a real difference for both users and employees?
Then this might be your next step.
At Home Care Services, we are looking for coordinators who want to help develop future elderly care. You will become the hub of the operation – the one who ensures that planning, staffing, communication, and quality come together in everyday life.
Your Role as Coordinator
As a coordinator within home care, you are a central part of our operations. Together with your manager, you actively work to achieve the unit's set goals. Your daily work will be varied and include administrative tasks. Some of your areas of responsibility are:
- Plan and coordinate staffing based on users' needs.
- Introduction and coordination of new employees.
- Act as a key contact between users, relatives, employees, and other professions.
- Work with implementation, follow-up, and quality assurance of interventions.
- Handle and coordinate care planning and discharges through SAMSA.
- Support colleagues in daily work and contribute to a good work environment.
- Handle administrative tasks and work in our operational systems.
You are a bridge between strategic and operational work, which requires you to handle both long-term planning and acute changes with the same commitment and structure. In the absence of the manager, the coordinator has a supervisory function at the unit, supported by another unit manager. Home care in Vara Municipality collaborates across unit boundaries, meaning we cover for each other during short-term absences.
Personal suitability is highly valued.
Your Knowledge and Experience
- Are structured, solution-focused, and have good organizational and pedagogical skills.
- Have experience with administrative tasks, preferably within home care or similar operations.
- Have good communication skills and can build and maintain good relationships.
- Are flexible and can handle rapid changes.
- Have good IT skills and experience using digital tools and systems for planning, documentation, and communication.
- Have experience being responsible for scheduling, staffing, and planning in the short and long term.
- Are attentive to details to ensure good care.
- Have the ability to lead and motivate staff and create a good work environment.
To successfully perform your duties, you must be confident and capable of making the decisions required in your professional role.
Advantageous if you have leadership training and/or experience.
Since Swedish is the common working language at the workplace, you must master the language, both orally and in writing, at the level required by the tasks.
Documentation and Requirements:
- You must be able to show a passport or valid ID card. A driver's license can be shown together with a personal registration certificate (obtained from skatteverket.se using BankID), which we do during a scheduled interview.
- Access to mobile BankID is required for verification in our operational systems.
- You must be able to show a valid extract from the police's criminal record register for work in the home with elderly and persons with disabilities. - Ability to organize, prioritize, and handle stress.
- Empathy and a genuine interest in meeting people in different life situations.
- Collaboration skills and a solution-oriented attitude.
- You are responsible and work independently as well as in a team.
