The Secretariat Unit at the Hisingen Social Services Administration is looking for a Lawyer!

As a lawyer with us, you will become part of the Secretariat Unit, which is responsible for matters related to committees, data protection and information security, registry, archives, and legal affairs. The Secretariat Unit is part of the Support Department, which includes communication, security and crisis preparedness, properties and premises, as well as IT. We are approximately 25 people within the department, and the department head is included in the administrative leadership.

Responsibilities

In the role of lawyer, you will provide qualified legal support to managers and case handlers within the administration. The assignment includes ensuring that the administration has a legally secure case management process, updating legal information, ensuring that routines and guidelines in operations follow laws and practice, monitoring the external environment, providing analyses of the legal situation, and quality-assuring letters to courts and authorities. You will guide social secretaries in legislation, case law, and handling processes. You will identify competence development needs, plan and conduct training, and produce support materials. You will serve as one of the administration's data protection contacts. If needed, you will also represent the administration in court and act as secretary for the individual committee.

Qualifications

You have a law degree or equivalent and have experience in legal work within public administration, preferably with a focus on social services. You need to have good knowledge of the Social Services Act (SoL), the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU), the Care of Abusers Act (LVM), the Parental Code, the Local Government Act, the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act, and the Administrative Procedure Act.

It is meritorious if you are a notary-qualified or have experience in litigation in administrative courts or general courts. It is also meritorious if you have good knowledge of GDPR and Swedish legislation regarding data protection, as well as experience working with family law issues.

You have a good ability to work systematically and prioritize effectively. You thrive in a role where you have the opportunity to work independently and take great responsibility, while simultaneously valuing and contributing to good collaboration and operational development within the administration.

To succeed in the position, you need to have strong analytical and strategic skills, be receptive and communicative, and have a good ability to guide others. The position also requires that you can express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

Interviews are planned for week 34.
