The Education Sector brings together the municipality's preschools and schools, as well as responsibility for purchased places in upper secondary and adult education. The sector also includes cultural activities, cultural schools, libraries, the Leisure Bank, and support for associations. As a Business Developer, you will become part of the central administration within the Unit for Development and Support. Here, you will work alongside school bus coordinators, childcare coordinators, administrators, system administrators, and business controllers. The unit's mission is to support and develop operations through qualified administration, analysis, and coordination. We strive to be a forward-looking sector in a development-oriented municipality. We are now looking for a Business Developer with a focus on systematic quality work and data-driven analyses.

Your Role

In the role of Business Developer, you will be a key driver in our quality and development work. You will support the sector manager, operational managers, and principals by producing analyses, creating structures, and contributing to well-founded, data-based decision-making.

You will have the opportunity to work both strategically and close to operations in long-term change work, where your analytical perspective and ability to translate data into development make a concrete difference for students, employees, and management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide qualified and structured analytical support to the sector manager, operational managers, and principals to strengthen and develop operations.
• Develop and implement effective structures, routines, and tools for data collection, analysis, and visualization.
• Contribute to producing well-founded decision support materials that aid political, economic, and operational decisions.
• Ensure that principals have access to quality-assured data to focus on pedagogical leadership and development.
• Monitor goals, results, and equity within the education sector, presenting analyses and proposals for improvements.
• Coordinate and quality-assure processes for data-driven school development based on facts and analysis.
• Educate and support employees in using data-driven methods and tools for business development.
• Contribute to creating a culture where analysis, systematic work, and development are central parts of the job.
• Drive municipality-wide development initiatives in collaboration with, for example, the Gothenburg Region (GR), colleges, and universities.
• Monitor new regulations and current research within the education sector.
• Participate in relevant networks for quality development, such as within the Gothenburg Region (GR), to exchange and share experiences and knowledge.

Who Are You?

You have a relevant academic education, preferably in pedagogy, political science, economics, statistics, or equivalent.

You have experience working with data-driven business development, analysis, and quality work.

Experience from educational operations is required.

You possess strong analytical skills and experience working with qualified analyses, statistics, and fact-based reports.

You have the ability to create structure and routines in complex operations and to translate analyses into practical development work.

You are communicative and pedagogical, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and support managers and employees in change processes.

You are proactive, solution-oriented, and accustomed to driving development processes independently.

You have excellent digital competence and experience using digital tools for data analysis and visualization.
