Defence Medical Centre
The Defence Medical Centre is the Swedish Armed Forces' centre for the defence medicine function, located in Gothenburg. The Defence Medical Centre consists of a leadership with staff, a Functional Unit, the Hospital Battalion, and the Swedish Armed Forces' Combat School for Defence Medicine.
About the Unit
The Swedish Armed Forces' Combat School for Defence Medicine (FSS) at the Defence Medical Centre in Gothenburg is a joint resource that conducts education, training, and exercises in defence medicine underwater, on the surface, on land, and in the air. FSS consists of three departments: the Education Department, the Exercise Department, and the Simulation and Methodology Department. The Education Department conducts courses and training, and ensures the quality of defence medical education carried out by other units in Sweden. The Exercise Department plans, conducts, and evaluates education and exercises in defence medicine. The Simulation and Methodology Department conducts training, education, and development of advanced defence medical simulation and pedagogical methods to train qualified medical units within military forces. The position is located within the Simulation and Methodology Department.
Main Responsibilities
- Support the department with administration related to the execution of the department's exercises, courses, and training
- Executive support, for example during recruitment and onboarding of new employees
- Administer activations/employments of part-time personnel, including reserve officers
- Process orders and purchases for the department's exercises, courses, and training, and monitor the budget
Qualifications
- University College degree with a focus on administration, communication, economics, and customer contact, or equivalent.
- At least three years of current experience in administrative work
- Good knowledge of the Office package
- Good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing
- Category B driver's license (manual transmission)
Merits
- Bachelor's degree in behavioral sciences/service management or equivalent
- Military basic training, for example conscription or GMU
- Previous experience working in the Swedish Armed Forces
- Experience with SAP/PRIO
- Experience with VIDAR
- Category C driver's license
