The work of the Social Services covers regulatory authority and execution for the target groups of children and young people, persons with substance abuse issues, persons with mental health issues, newly arrived immigrants, persons in need of social assistance, and support due to violence in close relationships. The department is divided into the Adult Division, the Youth Division, and the Administration Division. We have a process-oriented way of working where collaboration, development, and continuous improvements lead us forward.

We are now looking for two controllers for the Administration Division. The division gathers the department's support functions and consists of about twenty employees distributed across two units. We work closely together to support the operations. Job Responsibilities

In the role of Controller with a focus on accounting and follow-up, you have overall responsibility for the Social Services' accounting and annual report work. You ensure that the accounting maintains high quality and complies with current legislation, recommendations, and the municipality's internal guidelines. The role involves close collaboration with the department's managers and other key persons, as well as with other economists and controllers within the municipality.

You will, among other things, work with:

• Ongoing accounting and quality assurance of bookkeeping.
• Coordination, applications, and reporting of state grants.
• Monthly, interim, and annual financial statements.
• Budget work and follow-up.
• Development and improvement of accounting routines and processes.
• Support and advice on economic matters, with a special focus on accounting.
• Reporting to the Municipal Executive Office, authorities, and other external parties.

You report to the Division Manager.

Qualifications

To succeed in the role of Controller with a focus on accounting and follow-up, we are looking for you who has:

• A university degree in economics or other relevant education.
• At least three years of experience in qualified accounting work.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, so that you can speak and write without difficulty.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience from a similar role, preferably within the public sector.

To fit the role, you are meticulous, structured, and have a high sense of service. You take initiative, work proactively, and enjoy driving work forward both independently and together with others. Since you participate in several parallel processes, you need to be flexible and have the ability to prioritize.

You communicate clearly and pedagogically in both writing and speech. You have a good ability to create trust and build relationships with different actors, which is crucial to ensure correct accounting and provide reliable analysis and decision-making support. You also contribute to a good work environment and positive collaboration in the team.
