About the workplace

As a Business Strategist, you will work together with one other colleague in the Development Unit, which is part of the Leadership and Operations Support sector. Currently, 11 people work in the Development Unit on municipality-wide issues such as business and tourism, infrastructure and public transport, communication, environment and climate, public health, integration, comprehensive planning and housing supply, crime prevention, preparedness and civil defense, as well as digitalization. Your workplace is located at the municipal office in Henån.

Your responsibilities

As a Business Strategist, you are one of the municipality's most important links to the business community. You work both strategically and operationally to strengthen the business climate, facilitate establishment, and create conditions for sustainable growth.

You meet with entrepreneurs in their daily lives, drive development issues, and collaborate with actors locally, regionally, and nationally.

• Build long-term relationships with businesses, business organizations, and business promotion actors.
• Conduct business visits and theme meetings to capture businesses' needs, opportunities, and development ideas.
• Drive projects that strengthen the municipality's attractiveness and competitiveness.
• Work with establishment and development issues.
• Coordinate internal processes to create a service-oriented municipality.
• Monitor the external environment and identify future opportunities for business.
• Contribute to development in areas such as competence supply, innovation, sustainability, and place development.

About you

You are curious, proactive, and have an easy time building trust. You enjoy dialogue with business leaders just as much as you enjoy collaborating with colleagues and decision-makers.

You build relationships and have a genuine interest in entrepreneurship and societal development.

You can switch between strategic thinking and practical implementation.

You have good skills in using digital tools for communication, collaboration, and operational development.

You have:

• Relevant academic education, at least 3 years or equivalent experience.
• Experience in business, economic, or societal development.
• Ability to lead projects and create results through collaboration.
• Good understanding of business conditions and drivers.
• Very good communication and networking skills.
• Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
• Experience in creating, developing, and managing social channels.
