About the role

At Novare, we are a proud and approved supplier under one of ADDA's framework agreements. We are now seeking an interim manager for a municipal company in Stockholm.

As an interim manager, you will act as a group manager, leading and developing a team of approximately eight employees. The role entails full responsibility for operations, personnel, and finances, with a focus on planning, follow-up, quality, working environment, and continuous operational development, in close collaboration with other parts of the organization. The assignment also includes ensuring compliance with governing regulations, representing the group in internal and external contexts, and contributing to the strategic development of the Water and Wastewater (VA) department.

We are looking for a strategic and analytical leader. You work in a structured and results-oriented manner and have the ability to make well-founded decisions with high integrity. The role requires a communicative and collaborative person who can translate complex issues into practical action, build strong relationships, and drive continuous improvement and development work.

Requirements for the position

• Relevant academic university/college degree (within natural science disciplines).
• At least 10 years of experience as a manager with responsibility for personnel, finance (budget, follow-up, and forecasting), and working environment.
• At least 5 years of experience from the public sector, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Experience with tender processes.
• Experience leading reorganizations/new establishments of functions, including implementation/change management and workplace culture work.
• Experience as a business and contract manager.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Swedish.
• Valid B driving license.

Desirable qualifications

• Relevant management experience.
• Documented experience working within water, wastewater, environment, and/or sustainability.
• Experience as a manager within municipal water and wastewater operations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Assignment period and scope

The assignment is full-time (100%), with a planned start date of 2026-09-01, lasting approximately 1 year, with the possibility of extension. The assignment is based at the client's premises in Stockholm.
