Oplana is a recruitment and consulting company with deep roots in the industry. We provide talent solutions to technologically advanced operations, combining recruitment, consulting services, training, and trainee programs to meet the industry's growing need for qualified expertise. Our strength lies in the fact that we come from the industry ourselves. Many in our team have backgrounds as production managers, electronics assemblers, test technicians, project managers, and trainers in electronics production. This allows us to truly understand our customers' businesses – from production and technology to the skills required to keep operations running smoothly.

For many years, Oplana has built a unique position within the Swedish high-tech industry and is today Sweden's leading competence partner to the defense industry within our segment. Through our industry understanding, training initiatives, and extensive network of technical expertise, we help some of Sweden's most advanced industrial companies secure the right talent – both today and for the future. We work closely with our customers and offer solutions in recruitment, consulting services, and competence development. Whether the need is for a single specialist, an entire team, or long-term talent supply, our goal is always the same: to deliver solutions that work in practice.

Based in Stockholm with strong ties to Swedish industrial expertise, Oplana is a long-term partner for companies within, among others, defense, electronics, telecommunications, and technology-intensive operations.

CEO for Oplana

Oplana is seeking a present and commercial CEO who wants to take overall responsibility for the business and lead the company through its next phase of development. The role is both strategic and operational, involving overarching responsibility for finance, sales, personnel, and business development. The CEO is expected to be close to both employees and customers, with a clear focus on nurturing existing relationships while simultaneously developing new business, customer segments, and geographic markets.

A key part of the assignment is to create structure and direction for continued profitable growth. This includes, among other things, developing the training operations, increasing capacity, broadening the offering, and driving the digitalization of internal processes and working methods.

We are looking for a secure, business-oriented, and engaged leader who thrives in an entrepreneurial company where one works both long-term and is ready to be operational in everyday life. The role may suit you if you currently have broad leadership responsibility and see this as a natural next step in your career. The important thing is that you have the ability to create structure, build relationships, and bring the organization along in continued development.

Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Lead and develop the business based on the company's goals and strategy.
  • Responsible for results, budget, forecast, and financial follow-up.
  • Hold overall responsibility for personnel and working environment.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the organization's employees.
  • Be active in sales, customer meetings, and business development.
  • Nurture and develop relationships with existing key customers.
  • Identify new customers, segments, and geographic markets.
  • Develop Oplana's training operations and increase teacher capacity.
  • Ensure the company can meet increased volumes and customer inquiries.
  • Drive digitalization and development of systems, processes, and follow-up.
  • Report the business's results and development to the board.

Experience and Knowledge

To succeed in the role, you have a background from the industry, preferably in electronics, as well as experience from a leading position with responsibility for operations, personnel, and finance. You may have worked, for example, as a business area manager, department manager, sales director, production manager, or in a leading role within supply chain or purchasing. It is important that you have a commercial perspective and experience in developing customer relationships and business.

Experience from the electronics industry, the defense industry, or other technologically advanced manufacturing is advantageous. It is also positive to have an understanding of the quality and security requirements as well as longer decision-making processes found within the defense industry. You do not need to have worked as a CEO before, but must have sufficient experience and maturity to take full operational, personnel, and financial responsibility for the company, including budget, results, forecast, follow-up, and reporting to the board.

Personal Competencies

You are a present, engaged, and unpretentious leader who thrives close to both the operations and the customers. You have a clear commercial drive and the ability to see new business opportunities, while also having patience and understanding that relationships and business within the industry can take time to develop.

Your leadership is coaching and attentive. You leverage the competence that exists in the organization but are also clear about goals, priorities, and direction. You are decisive, structured, and confident in following up on the business based on economics and relevant key performance indicators.

To thrive in the role, you need to appreciate an entrepreneurial environment where you switch between strategic issues and close operational engagement. You are future-oriented and see the opportunities in developing Oplana's offering, finding new digital working methods, and developing the company's market presence.

Your Opportunities at Oplana

Oplana offers the opportunity to take broad overall responsibility in a profitable and well-positioned company with strong customer relationships and significant development potential.

As CEO, you will work closely with both customers and employees while simultaneously setting the direction for the company's continued growth. The role suits you if you want to combine business development, leadership, and operational responsibility in a business that contributes to solving the industry's large need for technical competence.

Oplana operates in a growing market, not least within the defense and electronics industries, and has good opportunities to develop new customers, training, markets, and working methods.
