At the Swedish Medical Products Agency (Läkemedelsverket), we make a difference together. In life and for life. We work for the health of humans and animals, for a better Sweden today and in the future.
Do you want to use your skills as a System Developer to contribute to a secure pharmaceutical supply in Sweden? We at the Digitalization Unit of the Swedish Medical Products Agency are looking for a new colleague who thrives in cross-functional teams and wants to develop digital solutions that make a concrete difference to society.
Our Operations
IT at the Swedish Medical Products Agency consists of the Digitalization Unit (DIG) and the Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, and User Support Unit (CIA). DIG currently has approximately 90 engaged employees who, together with CIA, take a holistic approach to the agency's digitalization.
We work closely with the business operations and deliver accessible, stable, and secure IT support that makes a concrete difference. We have a relatively large portion of in-house development, and our teams continuously develop both working methods, technology, and tools with a focus on quality, collaboration, and learning.
Your Responsibilities
You will become part of a flat hierarchy team where we help each other, learn from one another, and celebrate our successes together. Currently, the team is working on an exciting and complex government mandate related to the availability of medicines.
You will be part of a cross-functional team consisting of .NET developers, product owners, UX designers, test leads, and architects. As a System Developer, you will contribute to translating business requirements into technical solutions with high usability and good quality.
Your responsibilities include, among other things:
- participating in the entire development process – from analysis and design to implementation, testing, and further development,
- developing and maintaining modern web applications in Angular and .NET,
- ensuring good code quality through code reviews, common coding principles, and testing,
- contributing to technical improvements as well as the development of working methods and architecture, and
- sharing knowledge and experiences within the team.
You work in a structured manner and take responsibility, both independently and together with others. You also have an understanding of modern frontend architecture, component-based development, and state management.
Your Background
We are looking for a System Developer who has post-secondary education in IT, systems science, or equivalent experience as assessed by the employer, and:
- good knowledge of HTML, CSS, and TypeScript,
- experience with at least one modern frontend framework (e.g., Angular, React, or Vue),
- experience consuming and integrating REST APIs,
- experience with backend development in C# and .NET (ASP.NET / Web API),
- experience with version control using Git in a team environment,
- experience with agile working methods, such as Scrum or Kanban, and
- very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
It is an advantage if you have experience with:
- frontend testing and automated tests (e.g., unit tests, e2e, Cypress, or Playwright),
- accessibility according to WCAG and user-centered development,
- development in a stack based on .NET and Angular, and
- CI/CD flows and DevOps work.
Your Personal Qualities
As a person, you are communicative, flat-hierarchy oriented, and enjoy collaborating with others. You are keen to take initiative, drive work forward, and like asking questions and coming up with suggestions for improvement. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.
