About the Workplace

You will work broadly within the Social Services Administration and belong to the Quality and Development Unit, which is organized under the administration's support staff.

The Social Services Administration's operations cover both regulatory authority and the execution of services in areas such as home care, specialized housing, LSS (Act for Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) activities, and social psychiatry. We offer and work with various forms of care and support so that all residents can live as influential, independent, and good lives as possible. Our goal is to promote positive changes in people's lives and contribute to individual independence through assistance, advice, and other measures. Our efforts are based on respect for individual self-determination and integrity.

At the Quality and Development Unit, we work with various assignments aimed at ensuring that the operations within the administration meet the requirements and goals set by laws and other regulations. The unit includes development leaders, development coordinators, medically responsible nurses, medically responsible persons for rehabilitation, social responsible coordinators, system administrators, welfare technology specialists, IT business developers, and board secretaries.

The position of Preparedness and Security Coordinator is newly established. The role is responsible for meeting the Social Services Administration's need to develop and coordinate preparedness work across sector operations: specialized housing, municipal primary care, ordinary housing, disability services, individual and family care, as well as coordinating security issues based on factors such as employee working environment.

Responsibilities

As the Preparedness and Security Coordinator, you play a key role in developing and strengthening the Social Services Administration's overall preparedness capacity. You are the administration's specialist in the field and drive the work forward in a structured and goal-oriented manner, focusing on increasing robustness in operations.

You ensure progress in preparedness work and contribute to the development of a long-term sustainable ability to prevent, manage, and recover from disruptions and crises, both within the administration and the municipality at large, in close collaboration with the municipality's central security and preparedness function.

Additionally, you coordinate security matters within the administration, such as ensuring appropriate security in operational premises and access to alarms when needed. You are also responsible for coordinating training within both preparedness and security areas.

In this role, you work closely with operations, providing active, supportive, and operationally relevant support. You translate overarching requirements and directives into concrete and practically applicable working methods, ensuring that preparedness and security issues become a natural and integrated part of daily work.

The role also involves collaborating with other actors, both internally within the municipality and externally with entities such as the region and authorities. You contribute to creating structure in complex contexts and ensure that preparedness capacity is not just documented in plans but is rooted, known, and functional in everyday life.

Examples of tasks:

  • Support operations in identifying critical functions and processes that need to be maintained during disruptions and crises.
  • Coordinate, revise, and follow up on continuity and preparedness plans.
  • Plan and conduct exercises and scenario training to strengthen the organization's crisis preparedness.
  • Ensure structure, access, and follow-up of preparedness stocks and supply readiness.
  • Plan and conduct training initiatives in preparedness and crisis management.
  • Collaborate with the municipality's central preparedness function as well as with the region and other authorities.
  • Monitor compliance and contribute to development through learning from incidents and exercises.

Qualifications

Requirements for the assignment:

  • Relevant education.
  • Good ability to plan, organize, follow up, and drive work forward.
  • Ability to work both independently and in collaboration with others.
  • Good communicative and pedagogical skills.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation and public sector operations.

Meritorious:

  • Experience working in municipal primary care or care/disability services.
  • Experience working with preparedness and crisis management.

We are looking for you who are a doer – you see what needs to be done and ensure it gets done. You work in a structured and systematic manner, have the ability to create order in complex contexts, and can switch between a holistic perspective and concrete action. You are confident in your role, clear in your communication, and have an easy time building trusting relationships. Personal suitability will be given great weight.
