We are now looking for an IT Technician specializing in system operations and databases. You will have a varied role where you are responsible for managing the agency's IT systems and databases, both tactically and operationally. You will be part of a team with colleagues, primarily in Karlstad but also with colleagues in other locations. Together, you will work to achieve our common goals.

Responsibilities

In the role of IT Technician specializing in system operations and databases, the work is varied. Examples of tasks include:

• Management of the agency's IT systems and infrastructure.
• Work with the operation, maintenance, and development of the agency's IT systems and database platforms.
• Monitoring, support, and troubleshooting of systems and database platforms.

Qualifications

We are looking for you to have post-secondary education with a focus on IT, or other education or experience considered equivalent.

You should also have:

• Several years of work experience in the operation and management of IT systems and database platforms.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server.
• Good knowledge of system dependencies, operating systems, and authentication.
• Good verbal and written skills in both Swedish and English.

It is meritorious if you have:

• Good knowledge of Informix.
• Good knowledge of other technical infrastructure, such as server platforms, networks, or storage solutions.
• Experience with high-availability solutions within technical infrastructure and databases.
• Experience with identity and access management systems.

Conditions

We offer you a permanent full-time position starting with a probationary period.

Due to the nature of the operations, you cannot work from home, but we hope this contributes to a clearer division between work and leisure. With us, you get up to 35 days of vacation depending on age. You have the opportunity to train during working hours and receive a favorable wellness allowance.

The position is security-classified, and we therefore conduct a security check with register control according to the provisions of the Security Protection Act. The employment includes an obligation to be mobilized for war.

About Us

At the Conscription and Assessment Authority (Plikt- och prövningsverket), we work to make Sweden safer. Our main task is to muster, enroll in basic training, and register personnel in the wartime organization. We also conduct tests and assessments for other agencies, such as the Police and the Swedish Defence University. In short: we ensure that the right people end up in the right place in the total defense.
