We are now looking for an IT Technician specializing in network security who wants to contribute their technical skills and commitment to ensure that our networks and IT systems are protected against various types of threats, cyberattacks, or data breaches. You will join a team with colleagues in several locations, and together you will work towards achieving our common goals.

Job Responsibilities

In the role of IT Technician specializing in network and security, the work is varied. Examples of responsibilities include:

• Operation, development, and management of the agency's network infrastructure, IT systems, and IT security solutions.
• Configuration and automation of network environments and security products.
• Monitoring and troubleshooting of networks and IT security products.

Qualifications

We require you to have a high school education or higher with a focus on technology and/or IT security, or equivalent work experience that the employer considers suitable.

You must also have:

• Several years of work experience in the role of a network technician.
• Very good knowledge of routing, switching, and network design.
• Experience with network security and segmentation.
• Knowledge and experience in operating and administering Cisco solutions within the network and security fields.
• Good spoken and written skills in both Swedish and English.

The following are considered meritorious:

• Current certifications within the network and security fields.
• Experience with network and security applications in Kubernetes platforms.
• Experience with log management or vulnerability scanning.
• Experience managing proxy and reverse proxy servers.

Personal Qualities

You have the ability to handle complex issues, analyzing and breaking down problems to find solutions. You also have the ability to work well with others, relating to them in a receptive and flexible manner.

Conditions

We offer you a permanent full-time position starting with a probationary period.

Due to the nature of the operations, you cannot work from home, but we hope this will instead contribute to a clearer separation between work and leisure. With us, you get up to 35 days of vacation depending on your age. You have the opportunity to exercise during working hours and receive a favorable wellness allowance.

The position is security-classified, and we therefore conduct a security check with register control according to the provisions of the Security Protection Act. The employment includes an obligation to be mobilized in times of war.

About Us

At the Conscription and Evaluation Authority (Plikt- och prövningsverket), we work to make Sweden safer. Our main task is to conscript, enroll in basic training, and register personnel in the wartime organization. We also conduct tests and assessments for other agencies, such as the Police and the Swedish Defence University. In short: we ensure that the right people end up in the right places in the total defense.
