About the Role

As an Embedded Developer, you will become a key part of the development work related to the software in the company's products. You will work with embedded C, sensor integration, bug fixes, testing, and releases. The team is small, which means you will have a broad role working closely with both the product, technology, and customer needs.

The work includes stable releases, patch releases, and customer-focused improvements. You will also work with test environments, scripting, and tools based on Raspberry Pi, Python, and Bash. For the right person, there are good opportunities to grow into more customer-facing roles, technical sales, or product management responsibilities in the long run.

In this role, you will among other things:

• Develop and maintain software for embedded systems
• Work with embedded C, firmware, and RTOS environments
• Handle sensor integration, bug management, and patch releases
• Test, debug, and ensure the quality of software in physical devices
• Work with test environments, scripts, and tools in Python and Bash
• Handle technical questions related to the product's usage by customers

We are looking for someone who

• Has an engineering degree in fields such as computer engineering, electronics, technical physics, software engineering, or another relevant area
• Has knowledge of C programming
• Has an interest in embedded development, IoT, and hardware-near software
• Has experience with Linux
• Has good English skills, as the language is used in internal and external communication

It is a plus if you have experience with RTOS, such as Zephyr, Python, Bash, Raspberry Pi, sensor integration, signal technology, measurement technology, or metrology.

As a person, you are curious, driven, and solution-oriented. You thrive when taking responsibility, testing things out, and working in an environment where not all frameworks are set from the start. You don't need to know everything from the beginning, but we believe you enjoy learning new things, taking initiative, and asking for help when needed.

About the Company

The company is a small and innovative tech startup in Linköping that develops products within IoT and sensor technology. The product is currently used by customers across Europe, and the development work takes place close to both technology, product, and customer needs. About the Employment

This is a consulting assignment, which means you will be employed by Friday and work as a consultant on-site at the company.
