Our client is a Swedish high-tech company within the defense industry, specializing in the development of advanced marine products and systems for underwater environments. Their work includes torpedoes, mine systems, and autonomous or remotely operated underwater vehicles (ROV/AUV).

We are looking for a Senior Software Developer who wants to combine technical work with developmental leadership. In this role, you will work half as a software developer and half as a team lead in an agile development team creating advanced marine systems where software is central to functionality, security, and performance.

As a team lead, you are responsible for backlog planning, daily stand-ups, and dialogue with project managers. The role combines elements of Scrum Master and Product Owner, where you support the team in their daily work and help create structure and clarity in planning. At the same time, you remain an active part of the development and contribute your technical expertise.

This role suits you if you have a few years of experience in software development and have tried, or wish to continue developing within, leadership. You find it stimulating to coach others, create momentum, and contribute to an environment where the team can perform and thrive.

There are several development opportunities within both technology and leadership.

• Civil or university engineer, or equivalent practical experience
• A few years of experience in software development
• Experience with agile working methods (Scrum or similar)
• In-depth competence in C and/or C++
• Fluent Swedish in speech and writing, as well as good technical English

Experience with embedded development, system architecture, and CI/CD with automated tests is meritorious. Knowledge of Python, Rust, Ada, or Qt, as well as model-based development (e.g., xtUML), is also a plus.

As a person, you are analytical, structured, and communicative. You enjoy supporting others, creating clarity, and driving development forward. You have a coaching approach, like to collaborate, and contribute to an open and engaged culture.

Salary: Fixed monthly salary

Scope: Full-time, permanent

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to current security clearance regulations. This position entails a requirement for Swedish citizenship.
