We are now looking for a Senior Financial Controller who wants to contribute with business-oriented analyses, develop financial management, and serve as a strategic support to the management and operations.

As a Senior Financial Controller, you will become an important part of the finance department and work closely with the Head of Finance, CEO, and the bank's managers. The role is both operational and strategic and involves significant responsibility for analysis, reporting, and financial follow-up.

You will be responsible for, among other things:

• developing reporting models and financial analyses that support business decisions

• managing the budget process, forecasts, and cost monitoring

• participating in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing, ensuring high quality in financial reporting

• conducting profitability, investment, and cost analyses

• identifying risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement through key performance indicator analysis

• serving as an advisory support to the Head of Finance, CEO, and bank managers

• presenting financial analyses and decision materials in a clear and pedagogical manner

• contributing to the development of working methods, digitalization, and efficiency within the finance area

• ensuring that work complies with applicable laws, regulations, and internal guidelines.

You will also collaborate with other Savings Banks, Swedbank, and external authorities.

We are looking for you who are an experienced controller with a strong business focus and who thrives on turning numbers into insights and decisions.

We see that you have:

• an academic degree in economics, such as a Master of Science in Engineering and Economics or equivalent

• at least ten years of experience as a financial controller, preferably within banking or other complex and regulated operations

• experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial follow-up, and financial analysis

• good knowledge of accounting and financial management

• very good skills in Excel and the Office suite

• excellent ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

It is an advantage if you have experience from a Savings Bank or Swedbank, as well as authority reporting.

You are analytical, structured, and work independently with high integrity. At the same time, you easily build trust and establish good relationships within the organization.

You have the ability to make complex financial information understandable and appreciate presenting analyses to different audiences. You are curious, development-oriented, and dare to challenge existing working methods while understanding the importance of quality and regulatory compliance.
