At Combitech in Stockholm and Västerås, we are looking for Senior System Engineers who want to work on the development of advanced and society-critical systems within defense and telecommunications. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work particularly close to control and management systems, where demands for reliability, security, and system understanding are crucial.

Your Role as a System Engineer

As a Senior System Engineer, you have overall responsibility for developing advanced systems involving both hardware and software. Your work is cross-functional and includes, among other things, handling requirements. This means you act as a link between the customer and developers, design system architecture, and coordinate technical issues so that hardware and software collaborate effectively. Additionally, you work with integration and verification.

In your daily work, you collaborate closely with other specialists - software developers, hardware designers, test engineers, and project managers - in teams where open dialogue and technical depth go hand in hand. A typical day might involve facilitating an architecture discussion in the morning, analyzing requirements or reviewing a solution with the development team after lunch, and ending the day with customer dialogue regarding the next steps in the project. You collaborate closely with product owners, project managers, and customer representatives, often acting as a technical advisor. For those who wish, there is also the opportunity to lead and coach smaller technical teams and contribute to developing both people and working methods.

The position requires being on-site at the customer's location or at our office five days a week.

Who Are You?

We are looking for you who have a university degree in, for example, mechanics, electronics, or software, and several years of experience as a system engineer, system architect, or technical project manager. You have worked with control and/or management systems, preferably within the defense industry or other safety-critical operations.

As a person, you are confident in your technical decisions and used to taking responsibility in an advisory or leading role. At the same time, you are unpretentious, curious, and generous with your knowledge. You appreciate collaboration and see the value in building strong teams where experience and new perspectives meet.

Since the position involves work covered by defense secrecy, you must undergo and pass a security clearance with register check.
