The Digitalization Department leads much of the Swedish Government Offices' digital transformation. Our mission is unique – our solutions are used throughout the Government Offices and at over 100 Swedish embassies and consulates worldwide. What you help develop has a direct impact on how the Swedish government conducts its work, both nationally and globally.
We are now strengthening our capabilities in product and service development to create sustainable, user-centric, and future-proof digital solutions. As part of this initiative, we are developing our competence in solution architecture to ensure that business needs are translated into robust, cohesive, and long-term sustainable solutions.
About the Role
As a Solution Architect, you play a central role in translating business needs into sustainable technical solutions. You operate at the intersection of business, design, and technology, contributing to the creation of digital services used in some of Sweden's most critical societal functions.
You develop solution architectures, drive technical decision-making, and ensure that solutions are designed with the right balance between functionality, security, and long-term sustainability. Together with development teams, business stakeholders, and other architects, you contribute to creating a modern and cohesive digital environment.

Your Background
Formal Requirements:
- University degree or other relevant education
- Professional experience as a Solution Architect or in a similar role
- Extensive experience in system integration and system design
- Experience working in large, complex IT environments
- In-depth knowledge of cloud architecture, container technology, or integration patterns
- Knowledge of information security, data protection, and compliance
- Very good proficiency in Swedish and English
Meritorious Qualifications:
- Professional experience with Azure, AWS, or other cloud platforms
- Professional experience with integration platforms
- Experience in IT security
- Worked with architecture methods such as TOGAF or SAFe
- Experience with agile working methods

Other Information
The position is a permanent employment starting with a six-month probationary period. The role is classified for security clearance, and a security investigation with register check will be conducted before an employment decision is made. You must be a Swedish citizen, but may have foreign background.
