One week you build new radio sites. The next week you troubleshoot a transmitter after a thunderstorm. Sometimes you drive across Sweden in the service van, and other times you fly to an emergency assignment. Some days you work from the ground. Other days you are 100 meters up in a radio mast.

At Bauer Media, you become part of the team responsible for one of Sweden's largest commercial radio networks. Every day, you ensure that millions of people can listen to the radio while contributing to critical infrastructure that is vital for Sweden's civil preparedness.

We are now looking for more Field Service Engineers who want to help develop our nationwide transmitter network.

You will become part of Bauer Media's Tech organization, where we are responsible for IT, Broadcasting, Distribution, and Data. You will work together with an experienced team where you jointly plan and drive the work forward.

In this role, you work with planned installations, service, and maintenance, while also being on call for acute operational disruptions and technical problems.

You will work across Sweden, from Ystad in the south to Kiruna in the north. Some assignments you carry out independently, while mast work is always performed together with a colleague.

• Installation, commissioning, and maintenance of FM and DAB transmitters and peripheral equipment.
• Installation and service of antenna systems in masts and towers.
• Troubleshooting and resolving operational disruptions.
• Installation and configuration of network equipment and IP-based systems.
• Documentation of changes and completed work.
• Participation in the expansion of Bauer Media's nationwide radio network.

We do not believe you must come from the radio or broadcasting industry. The most important thing is that you are a skilled technician who enjoys solving problems, working practically, and wants to continue developing. You might currently work as a field technician or have experience from telecom, fiber, networks, power, industry, mobile networks, transmission, or other technical infrastructure.

As a person, you take initiative, work independently, and thrive with freedom under responsibility. At the same time, you are a team player without ego who is happy to share knowledge and help your colleagues when needed. You appreciate variety and feel just as comfortable working out in the rain and snow as sitting in front of a computer configuring technical equipment.

We believe you have:

• Experience with installation, service, operation, or troubleshooting in a technical environment.
• Good technical understanding of networks, communications, or technical systems.
• A valid driver's license (Category B).
• Very good skills in Swedish and good understanding of English.

It is an advantage if you have experience with:

• Fiber or radio links.
• Broadcast or RF technology.
• Routers, switches, and IP networks.
• Electrical installation or power systems.
• Work at heights.
• ESA, Hot Work, or similar certifications.

Previous climbing certificates are an advantage but not a requirement. If you are the right person, we will ensure you receive the necessary training. However, you must be able to undergo the medical health examination required for working at heights.
