Your responsibilities

As a teacher in Home and Consumer Studies, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on teaching for students based on the goals of the curriculum. Through varied teaching, students will learn to plan and prepare meals, develop an understanding of health, sustainability, personal finance, and conscious consumption choices, as well as reflect on how choices in daily life affect both the individual and society. You create teaching where theory and practice work together, and where students' curiosity, creativity, and independence are given space.

If you have the qualifications to teach an additional subject, we view this as a positive attribute.

Your qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with qualifications to teach Home and Consumer Studies. If you also have qualifications in another subject and experience working in school operations, that is a plus. You are a confident and engaged educator who plans and organizes your work in a structured manner. You are good at collaborating, building good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues, and adapting your teaching to students' different needs and prerequisites. We value that you are flexible and have an inclusive approach in your teaching.

Before you can be employed, we conduct a register check, and you need to present an approved extract from the police register.

In connection with the interview, you need to verify your citizenship. You can do this with a passport or alternatively a certificate of residence together with an ID document. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must show that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the obligation to have a work permit. Employment can only take place after verification of the work permit, which is required according to the Aliens Ordinance.
