Do you want to help develop education of the highest quality?

We are looking for a structured, service-oriented, and independent education administrator for the basic education at Karolinska Institutet (KI). As an education administrator, you play a central role in the medical program at KI. You will be based at the Center for Psychiatry Research within the Department of Clinical Neuroscience, working closely with teachers, administrators, students, and researchers.

Your Role

In your role as an education administrator, you have primary administrative responsibility for the module Addiction within the course Clinical Medicine 4: Neuro, Senses, and Psyche, as well as the psychiatry part of the course Clinical Medicine 9: Clinical Training for Licensing within the six-year medical program.

Your work will involve communicating with students, scheduling, room booking, registering results, and updating Canvas. You will contact lecturers and supervisors and plan the practice-based education (VFU) together with them. You play a central role in the ongoing planning, implementation, and follow-up of the course's administrative processes. The work involves both recurring routines and independent problem-solving in a complex educational environment with many contact surfaces. You serve as the administrative support for coordinating teachers, examiners, course directors, and other staff associated with the education. The tasks vary throughout the semester in both content and scope.

You will also support research groups within the unit with administrative tasks. In addition, you will perform other common tasks within the unit.

Who are you?

To be eligible for the position, you must have a completed upper secondary school diploma or another qualification that the employer deems equivalent, as well as current experience in qualified administrative work. You must have fluent Swedish skills in both speech and writing, as well as very good English skills. We also expect you to have very good computer skills; experience with Ladok, Canvas, or similar systems is meritorious. Experience with education administration at a university or college, as well as experience with VFU and/or work-integrated learning, is meritorious for the position. You should also have experience in developing administrative routines and an interest in working with improvement and development of operations.

We are looking for you who are service-oriented with a focus on the best interests of the operation and who enjoy administrative tasks. You are structured, experienced in handling multiple parallel processes, and capable of working independently, being thorough, and solution-oriented. The role also requires a professional attitude, good communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with many different functions. You must be able to prioritize, follow up, and drive administrative processes forward. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
