The position is full-time and located in Tändstickspalatset in central Stockholm.

About the Role

As an Analyst, you will become part of the Analysis Department, which today consists of individuals with backgrounds from KTH, LTH, Lund University, Uppsala University, Stockholm University, and the Stockholm School of Economics, among others. The department holds overall profitability responsibility and works primarily within underwriting, renewals, and strategic development projects.

In the role, you will work with:

• Pricing and underwriting of insurance
• Profitability analyses and follow-ups
• Analysis of new segments and business opportunities in Sweden, Finland, and the rest of Scandinavia
• Development of analysis tools, models, and automations
• Forecasting and project management
• Handling and analysis of large datasets

The work is varied and combines business understanding with advanced analysis. You will work daily with tools such as Excel, SQL, R, and Python.

About You

We are looking for you with a strong analytical and mathematical mind who is motivated by working in a fast-paced and performance-oriented environment. You thrive with responsibility, are self-starting, and enjoy challenging both yourself and established ways of working.

We would like you to have:

• A Master of Science in Engineering degree in fields such as technical physics, technical mathematics, or similar education with a strong mathematical focus
• Very strong analytical skills and strong academic results
• Experience or a strong interest in SQL, R, Python, Matlab, or similar
• Good knowledge of Excel
• Good proficiency in Swedish, Finnish, and English, both spoken and written

Previous experience in fields such as data science or insurance is meritorious, but the most important factors are your analytical depth, problem-solving skills, and willingness to develop.
