At IST, we are now looking for a Key Account Manager who wants to take clear responsibility for our continued growth in the Swedish independent school market. This role is strategically important for our future expansion and offers you the opportunity to work with market-leading solutions that contribute to the digital development of schools.
This is not a role where you manage an existing customer portfolio; here you have the opportunity to build business, create new customer relationships, and drive sales in one of our most important growth areas.
Your role
As a Key Account Manager, you are responsible for new sales to independent school groups and standalone schools in Sweden. You build and develop your own sales pipeline, identify new business opportunities, and create long-term relationships with school leaders, operational managers, and other strategic decision-makers.
You drive the entire sales process – from prospecting and needs analysis to presentation, negotiation, and signed contracts. The role also involves representing IST at customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events, as well as contributing market insights that strengthen our continued growth.
You work closely with Marketing, Product, and Customer Success to ensure a smooth customer journey, but your primary focus is on creating new business and developing long-term customer relationships.
Your profile
We are looking for someone driven by sales and energized by creating new business. You are self-motivated, business-minded, and have documented experience in successful B2B sales involving multiple decision-makers.
To succeed in this role, you have:
- An academic degree in economics, marketing, or another relevant field (Bachelor's or Master's level).
- Several years of experience in successful new business sales within B2B.
- Documented ability to create, develop, and close larger deals.
- Experience in complex solution selling within SaaS, IT, or digital services.
- Experience in building relationships with executive teams and other decision-makers.
- Good business acumen and a structured way of working.
- Very good communication skills in Swedish and English, both written and verbal.
- A valid driver's license (Category B) and the ability to travel within Sweden.
Meritorious qualifications
- Experience from the education sector or the EdTech industry.
- Experience selling to independent schools or public sector organizations.
