Medborgarskolan in Falkenberg is looking for a Silver Smithing Course Leader

We are looking for you who want to lead silver smithing courses in Falkenberg and make it possible for more people to discover the joy of this craft.

About the assignment

We are looking for someone with good knowledge of silver smithing who wants to share their craft in an enjoyable and pedagogical way.

As a course leader, you are responsible for planning and conducting silver smithing courses together with us at Medborgarskolan.

You lead groups in a safe and clear manner, creating an environment where participants feel comfortable trying, asking questions, and developing at their own pace.

The courses are held at Medborgarskolan in Falkenberg.

The exact format, times, and course content are planned together with you as the course leader.

The assignment includes among other things:

• planning course structure, modules, and exercises
• leading practical course sessions in small groups
• guiding participants individually and in groups
• contributing to good order, working environment, and safety during course sessions
• keeping attendance records and communicating with the responsible business developer

Who we are looking for

We are looking for you who have both craft knowledge and an interest in people and learning. You do not need to be a teacher by background, but you should enjoy meeting people, explaining, and demonstrating practically how things are done.

We would like you to have:

• good experience with silver smithing
• confidence in basic techniques and workshop work
• habit of working safely with tools, materials, and equipment
• be pedagogical, receptive, and structured
• be able to adapt teaching to adult beginners with different prior knowledge
• communicate clearly in Swedish

Previous experience in holding courses, workshops, or mentoring others is meritorious, but the most important thing is that you have good subject knowledge and want to share it in a safe and inspiring way.

Employment and scope

This is a fee-based course leader assignment through object employment.

This means that the employment is linked to the courses that start and to the hours the course covers.

The assignment is not a full-time or part-time employment with a fixed scope, but is best suited as a side job alongside other employment.

Courses start when we have a finished plan and sufficient participant base. The scope may therefore vary over time.
