The Swedish Research Council works with analyses and evaluations of the Swedish research system and serves as the government's research policy advisor. We are now looking for an analyst who will primarily work with the monitoring and evaluation of the EU partnership One Health Antimicrobial Resistance (OHAMR), which is coordinated by the Swedish Research Council. Are you interested in research policy and its significance for societal development? Join us!
Role Description and Responsibilities
As an analyst, you play a central role in the monitoring and evaluation of the EU partnership OHAMR. You also contribute to the department's work with analyses, evaluations, and investigations of the Swedish research system – both within the framework of government assignments and agency initiatives.
The role involves both leading and participating in assignments, where you, together with knowledgeable colleagues, drive the work from start to final reporting. Here you have the opportunity to produce qualified analyses that serve as a basis for research policy decisions.
Your responsibilities include:
- driving the development of a modern framework for monitoring and evaluation of OHAMR, where you clearly link objectives, activities, and effects
- taking overall responsibility for monitoring, evaluation, and data quality – including analysis and reporting of KPIs to the European Commission
- developing structures to collect and visualize research results and effects through qualified analysis and accurate communication to different target groups
- helping to shape future data support by developing databases and digital solutions for the collection, analysis, and visualization of research results
- leading your own projects and contributing to strategic assignments and investigations in close collaboration with colleagues and external actors
- representing OHAMR in international contexts and contributing to the partnership's visibility and impact
You will also contribute to the department's other work by:
- developing and improving working methods, with a particular focus on data management, analysis, and visualization
- leading and participating in analyses and investigations of the Swedish research system
- leading and contributing to evaluations of research investments and research areas
You may also contribute to other tasks within the agency based on operational needs.
Who are you?
We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. To succeed and thrive in the role, you are analytical and have the ability to coordinate, prioritize, and see logic and connections in complex information, which you then draw conclusions from from a holistic perspective. Additionally, you can visualize data and translate analyses into appealing communication materials. You are meticulous and work in a structured manner, following set deadlines by independently prioritizing your tasks. You have good communication skills, meaning you convey messages simply, are receptive, and adapt your communication to the recipient. You also have strong teamwork skills, thrive in teams, and actively contribute to an open and constructive work climate. You are able to work without rigid frameworks and can handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
In addition to personal qualities, you must also have:
- an academic degree in a field that the agency considers relevant
- experience working within the EU's framework programs or international research partnerships
- experience in monitoring and evaluation
- experience working with the collection, processing, analysis, reporting, and visualization of data using digital tools (e.g., Power BI)
- good habit of planning and organizing your tasks based on operational needs
- good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English, as well as presenting results in a target-group-adapted manner
It is meritorious if you have:
- a doctoral degree in medicine and health sciences, natural sciences, or another relevant subject area
- knowledge of the Swedish and European research system and research funding
- knowledge and experience of the research and innovation system within One Health, antimicrobial resistance, or other cross-sectoral initiatives
- experience from Swedish public sector, university administration, or agency within a relevant subject area
Location
Our office is activity-based and located at Hantverkargatan 11 in central Stockholm. If the tasks allow, there is an opportunity to work part-time remotely.
