The Financial Management Unit consists of eight dedicated economists and controllers who are jointly responsible for budgeting, forecasting, follow-up, and financial support to the operations within the Urban Development Office. We work closely with managers and operations, functioning as a strategic and operational support in financial matters.

We are in an exciting phase of development where we continue to strengthen our operation-oriented approach and develop our role as qualified support to the organization. Here, you become part of a positive team with high competence, great engagement, and close, trust-based leadership.

We are located in modern premises at Rosen in central Norrköping, with proximity to public transport, restaurants, and the city's amenities.

We are now looking for a new colleague who wants to develop the operations together with us and contribute to creating the best possible conditions for the municipality's urban development mandate.

Your responsibilities

As a controller here, you play a central role in supporting and developing financial management within the Urban Development Office. You work closely with the operations and contribute with analyses, financial data, and advice that create conditions for well-founded decisions. By translating complex financial information into clear insights, you help managers and operations achieve their goals.

In the role, you are responsible for work with budgets, forecasts, follow-up, reporting, and financial analyses. You monitor the financial development of operations, identify deviations and trends, and contribute with proposals for actions and improvements. The work involves close collaboration with unit and department managers, where you function as qualified support in both strategic and operational matters.

You are also involved in developing our working methods, processes, and system support within planning and follow-up. With an analytical and solution-oriented approach, you contribute to strengthening the quality of our financial processes and creating efficient working methods for the operations.

The Urban Development Office's operations cover a broad area, including urban development projects such as Inner Harbour, the Johannisborg Connection, and the East Link, as well as the operation and development of parks, streets, environment, and municipal real estate. This means you will work with varied financial issues within investments, projects, development, real estate, and operations, making the assignment both broad and developmental.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who have an academic degree in economics, for example, a Master of Science in Engineering and Economics. We view it positively if you have previously worked as a controller or economist and if you have experience working independently with financial analyses, budgeting, and forecasting. It is desirable if you have worked with developing and implementing methods, routines, and working methods in the field.

For the position, it is required that you have good digital maturity, good knowledge of Excel, and it is positive if you have previously worked in business/financial systems.

We are looking for you who are self-motivated, flexible, and have the ability to prioritize and drive your work forward in a structured manner. You maintain high quality in what you deliver and work purposefully to achieve good results.

You are communicative and relationship-building with the ability to build trusting collaborations. Through a listening and professional approach, you create good relationships with managers, colleagues, and other partners. At the same time, you enjoy working together with others, sharing knowledge, and contributing to a positive team spirit.

You adapt easily to changed conditions and see development as a natural part of the work.

Welcome with your application!
