As a counselor, you provide children and young people with various forms of qualified adult-led support tailored to each child's unique needs and circumstances. On the department, counselors work around the clock to provide professional remote support to the children, young people, and adults who contact us. Our work is guided by our view of children as rights holders, unique individuals, and active subjects. External supervision is included.

We expect you to contribute with:

  • A degree in social work and experience in supportive work with children and young people.
  • Fluency in spoken and written Swedish.
  • A high degree of professionalism and taking significant responsibility for your role and the support you provide.
  • Knowledge of child rights work, relevant legislation, and societal support functions.
  • Good self-awareness and ability to collaborate well with colleagues. You are accustomed to taking full responsibility for your work and seeking support when needed.
  • Experience using digital communication channels.

Good to know about the position:

  • The position is a fixed-term employment for one year on a full-time basis with good opportunities for extension.

  • Hybrid work options are available.
  • We apply a probationary period of 6 months if the employment is for a year or more.
  • Bris is a child rights organization where you will work directly with children; therefore, we require an extract from the criminal record register. The extract is only presented by the candidate who is currently considered for the position, and the candidate orders the extract themselves.
  • We work with an anonymized recruitment process – irrelevant information (such as name, age, and gender) is automatically anonymized in our system.
  • Last day for applications: August 2.
  • Start: After summer. Selection and interviews will begin after the summer, but do not wait to submit your application as the ad may close earlier depending on the volume of applicants.
  • Bris has a collective agreement with Fremia - The Swedish Confederation of Professional Associations and Unionen. Union representatives are The Swedish Confederation of Professional Associations Rebecca Ekedahl, [email protected], Unionen Delaram Wall, [email protected].
