Job Description

At AFRY Hydro Nordics, we face an exciting future as one of the world's largest consulting firms within hydropower and dams. In Sweden, we are currently 120 consultants who together drive development within hydropower and provide services from early stages, concepts, and feasibility studies, to execution and implementation, as well as operation and maintenance. This includes expertise from all technical areas, e.g., geotechnics and embankment dams, concrete structures, rock, civil engineering, hydraulics, turbine and generator technology, hydro-mechanical equipment, as well as electrical and control systems. AFRY also supports and participates in the NAP process and provides technical services for the design and implementation of facility-specific environmental adaptations in the various project phases.

To our team in Solna, we are now looking for more colleagues who want to develop in a consulting role and drive successful hydropower projects together with us. In the role of Project Manager, you lead and coordinate in-house assignments from start to finish. The assignments vary in content and complexity but often have a clear technical focus related to hydropower and dams. Depending on the assignment and your interest, you may be responsible for project management and communication with customers and/or technical coordination, as well as acting as a mentor for more junior colleagues.

You will become a valuable addition to an engaged team where you are given good opportunities to develop, influence, and make a difference. We collaborate broadly across the country within Hydro and within AFRY, as well as through international collaborations. The work usually takes place from the office or home office, and travel and site visits to the facilities occur as a natural part of the role.

Qualifications

You have a good ability to engage and create clarity and progress in an environment where much happens simultaneously and where priorities can change quickly. You communicate attentively and clearly, thereby creating trust and correct expectations in your collaborations, both internally and externally. You enjoy taking responsibility and working structured towards clear goals to ensure high quality in deliveries.

Furthermore, we see that you have:

• Experience as a Project Manager, Design Manager, Technical Coordinator, and/or Technical Lead in construction, energy, industrial, and/or infrastructure projects
• A degree in Civil Engineering (Civilingenjör) within Road and Water, Urban Planning, or equivalent technical education
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English

We consider it meritorious if you have:

• Experience working with hydropower and/or dam facilities
• Experience with multidisciplinary assignments
• A valid driver's license (Category B)

Since the position may involve work in security-classified areas, drug testing and security clearance with possible register control according to Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act may become relevant.
