We are now looking for an interior design consultant for a project where you will play a central role in the planning, ordering, and implementation of laboratory interiors at Karolinska University Hospital.

About the position
In this assignment, you will have a central role in a larger renovation project where you are responsible for ensuring functional, sustainable, and operation-adapted laboratory environments. You will work through the entire process – from planning and ordering to delivery, installation, and follow-up – in close collaboration with operations, clients, and suppliers.
The project involves the renovation of laboratory facilities in BioClinicum as well as the N- and L-houses at Karolinska University Hospital. The position is a fixed-term employment linked to the project's execution. The employment is initially for 12 months with the possibility of extension for an additional 6 months.
The assignment requires an understanding of the function and design of laboratory environments, as well as the ability to ensure that interior solutions meet the operation's needs regarding quality, ergonomics, sustainability, accessibility, and working environment. The role also includes responsibility for planning and following up on deliveries based on the project's budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
Your main tasks include:
- Conducting walkthroughs of designed drawings per room with the operations team
- Ensuring that articles and fittings correspond to the operation's needs
- Planning and coordinating the reuse of existing furniture together with new furniture
- Coordinating with the ventilated equipment to be installed
- Preparing order documents and executing orders according to budget and schedule
- Coordinating deliveries and installation work in the project's premises
- Following up that installation is carried out according to contract, drawings, and schedule
- Acting as a contact person between the client, operations, and suppliers
- Conducting receiving inspections and handling deviations and complaints
- Compiling delivery and installation status and ensuring the handover of documentation.

Qualifications
Requirements:
- Documented experience in ordering laboratory interiors
- Experience in coordinating suppliers, deliveries, and installation work in multiple locations or larger projects
- Experience with receiving inspections, deviation handling, and complaints
- Experience working in project form together with clients, contractors, and consultants
- Good knowledge of the Office package and experience working with drawings, order documents, and delivery documentation
Merits:
- Experience with laboratory projects in hospital or research environments
- Experience working as a client representative in larger construction or renovation projects
- Experience working with Dalux software
