We are now looking for an economist for our professional team in the Finance and Control Department. We are looking for a flexible, driven, and engaged person who wants to join our wonderful team.

The Finance and Control Department, which is part of the executive staff, provides qualified support to the municipal administration, sectors, and units regarding various financial issues and digital solutions. The department also works on the development of target management and quality, as well as procurement, e-commerce, and tendering. The financial function is centralized under the leadership of the Finance Director. We are a Finance and Control Department that works on continuous improvements for the entire municipality and within our department to handle future opportunities and challenges while maintaining ongoing operations.

Your future responsibilities

The position is split, meaning you will work both with financial support for operations and as a system administrator for the financial system. Therefore, this role requires you to be flexible.

You will work with and support units within sectors such as Care and Elderly Care with planning, forecasting, and financial follow-up. This also involves issues regarding resource allocation, budgeting, annual accounts work, internal control, resource utilization, and operational analyses. In this part of the role, there are two economists providing support to the operations.

You will also work with certain parts of system administration for the financial system, drive larger and smaller projects, and serve as strategic support to the Finance and Control Department. You will also need to be able to support daily work. In the system administrator role, you will work together with several other system administrators.

You will work with financial tasks of a more general nature within your own areas, as well as conduct qualified financial analyses and investigations, presenting them in a way adapted to the target audience.

You will be involved in operational development and also train and inform managers/operational heads within the financial area.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who have a university degree in economics, with a focus on financial management or accounting. Another requirement is that you have experience in similar tasks and good knowledge of the Office package.

It is meritorious if you have:

• worked in a politically governed organization
• work experience in the field
• experience with the financial system Raindance

We are looking for you who are development-oriented and want to work with change management, seeing it as a fun challenge to find simpler work processes where digitalization, for example, is in focus. You are meticulous and communicative and possess a pedagogical ability to explain financial connections so that a layperson can understand.
