At our headquarters in Solna Business Park, approximately 500 employees work together to support and develop the agency, which has a total workforce of around 5,000.
Job Description
SiS operates 22 special youth homes where education at the compulsory and upper secondary school levels is provided. We are now seeking two Business Developers for the Education Section within the Youth Care Department. The section consists of nine employees and is led by a Section Manager who also serves as the School Principal. The section's mission is to support, coordinate, monitor, and develop SiS educational activities, focusing on every child's and young person's right to quality education that meets the requirements of school legislation.
The role involves both strategic and operational work. You will strengthen the quality of SiS education by providing direct support to youth homes on educational matters, leading overarching development projects, and serving as an expert in internal and external working groups. You will work with ongoing and upcoming school reforms, as well as other section assignments. The work is conducted in close collaboration with core operations and support departments at the headquarters, with travel within Sweden required.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the external environment, analyze, and investigate the consequences of reforms and national initiatives within the education sector.
- Prepare decision-making materials and propose changes to SiS guidelines for schools.
- Plan and implement training and information initiatives, develop support materials, and coordinate the implementation of new working methods.
- Monitor, evaluate, and analyze results and effects.
- Other tasks within the mandate of the Education Section.
Qualifications
You must have:
- An academic degree, for example in law, behavioral sciences, or pedagogy, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer.
- Experience in managerial or supervisory roles within the education sector.
- Documented experience leading development work in the school sector.
- Good proficiency in spoken and written Swedish.
It is meritorious if you have:
- Completed principal training.
- Experience in overarching work for a school authority or one of our educational agencies.
- Experience with institutional care.
- Knowledge and experience in process facilitation.
To thrive in this role, we look for someone who is organized, quality-conscious, solution-focused, and flexible. You take initiative and have strong collaboration skills, both internally and externally. You are communicative and skilled at creating dialogue, participation, and engagement. Personal qualities are highly valued.
At SiS, we value good employee relations where you take responsibility for your work and contribute to development and cooperation. Read more about our employee relations and leadership at stat-inst.se (https://www.stat-inst.se/jobba-hos-oss/medarbetarskap-och-ledarskap/).
